YL must've been a tough one as it varies so much with Ed and Mike both winging it each time, just interested as to why Hamburg got the nod.
I wasn't happy with any on the shortlist so started listening to other versions from each year and decided it sounded best on the 2000 tour.
I could have ended up using any number of versions from that year, but the Hamburg one had relatively standardised lyrics, a great vibe, no flubs, and a nice outro. It was the version chosen for the Touring Band 2000 DVD extras, and this is a rare example of them choosing well (it was also remixed for the DVD so this is a rare chance to hear Jeff on the European tour )

I like that the selection of tracks from Ten and Vs didn't include tags of covers on Daughter and Yellow Ledbetter.
Would like to see that continue with Betterman please.
Definitely a good argument for that. Note that Porch and Rats both contained tags, but that was unavoidable due to the lack of similar quality versions without them.
I was thinking of perhaps including faded-in versions of common tags on the covers disc, to include It's Okay, SIFL (there's a near full version after Better Man finished from Chicago 2006 I believe), etc.

Melbourne 95 or 98 have to be contenders? I'll listen to this later and make a further judgement.

The washington version is spectacular. When Eddie sings the first line as per the recorded version its a winner.
