Ive never been impacted by a loss of a musician so much as this. Holy fuck. Of course, few artists cut me wide open like Glen did. In triumph and heartbreak, he had a voice for that and everything in between. Every show i saw for the last 25 years of his i walked out just completely changed for the better.

This fucking sucks. Yesterday i was completely numb. Couldnt even put on a song of his. If i heard a snippet id crack...

This morning i put on Live at Sydney Opera House record and made it 4 songs. Sobbed the entire way.

Goddamnit.

Last night I was listening to the Ed solo show in Amsterdam from right after Chris Cornell died. Glen was there and they did a few of his songs at the end including Falling Slowly. Brought me to tears the first time 9 years ago and brought me to tears again last night. A great man.

Glen is the artist du jour on the radio station I tune in to. One of the things they do every morning is 'The Cover Story" which has an original and then a cover by the artist. Today was Drive All Night by Springsteen, which obviously featured Clarence Clemons. I totally forgot Jake Clemons plays sax on the Hansard version, choked up immediately. Eddie also contributes backing vox.
