Definitely puts on a great show for someone who plays pretty infrequently.

Saw Cloud Cult tonight. Second time seeing them. Say what you want about their bullshit lyrics but these guys are incredible performers.

The lyrics are a bit trite and over the top for my tastes.

The acoustic set was alright, but they really shine when they get super dense in the electric set.

decided last minute to go to the orb show at first avenue last night. they're only doing something like 10 dates across the US, and i wasn't sure if i'd get a chance to see them again, so i went. didn't know what to expect for a crowd with it being easter sunday but also 4/20, and there only ended up being maybe 200 people there. it was worth it to go; after a long and occasionally stressful weekend i just let myself get into the moment and had a lot of fun, really. very glad i decided to pull the trigger and make it down there. it made for a good start to the week.

Sounds like you'd be a fan of Coldplay as well . . .

Kicking my summer concert season off tomorrow night; my first Springsteen show. Needless to say I'm looking forward to it with high expectations.

And I was not disappointed. No encore but clocked in right at three hours. It was anything but a greatest hits set but still plenty for the casual radio fan to enjoy. They started strong and only got better the longer they played. It was tight and incredibly well rehearsed, which is doubly impressive considering how much they mix it up night to night. It was what exactly a big time rock'n roll concert is supposed to be.
Next up: Arcade Fire

Cloud cult definitely did not disappoint last weekend in DC, they put on an amazing show, and seeing them play in a synagog was pretty crazy

I saw Joanna Newsom in that synagoge a few years ago. It was pretty cool.

Yeah, really cool place, though the pews made people confused about whether to sit or stand and about caused a fight pretty early into the electric set. After that settled itself everything was amazing

Arcade Fire

Lots of fun, but not as good as the time I saw them on their last tour.

Looking forward to my first full Arcade Fire show tonight. I saw them at Bridge a few years back ('11?) and enjoyed what I saw. I'm leaving right after work so I won't be dressing up or anything.
