I haven't heard anyone who dislikes Lana del Rey say that it's because her sound is "different." That's certainly not why I find her one of the most boring artists making music today.

she does get a lot of hatred. Maybe its because of her looks? specially when she was young? i dont know really.

Don't get me wrong, Lana is still a top 10 for me in terms of what I listen to regularly, but she seems a bit stuck as artist. It is like she's forcing herself to try and recreate the success of NFR.

I dont really know where she headed, but this record seems really strong so far for me.

I need to hear more before I start talking NFR comps or whatever. I felt like the two subsequent albums were very different, though. Because of that I don't really expect this to be any kind of attempt at past glory. But we'll see. You could be right.

Ocean BLVD is baller af, though. That song is just fucking outstanding. And while it might fit on NFR, it also feels like there's forward momentum there. It doesn't really feel like looking back, to me.

I still haven't listened to this new one. But I love the title.
