Some of those European shows from 2000 would be a gorgeous addition.
Why would you want something that's already been officially released. Plus they released one of the 2000 warm-up shows already. There's still Vancouver, I guess.
I'm not sure, ybe the setting of some of those venues, coupled with a vinyl package just seems like it would be perfect. Katowice II and Verona in particular.
Vaults aren't just about vinyl. Plenty of people buy digital download or CD. Plenty of people already have those shows on digital download or CD.

I want something from the VFC tour or a complication of their Bridge School appearances.

I'd pay $100+ for a boxset of the two Boston 2004 shows.

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?

I want it all. Plus, I want some sort of official release of the VFC tour. The St Louis show was a blast.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.
I think it's crazy they release them on vinyl at all, it seems like a huge headache.

I agree. Plus - listening to a live show on vinyl is a drag, with all the side changes etc.

My personal preference is that they focus on pre-2000 material for the Vault series; 2000 and on is available in such abundance that it would be difficult for any release from that period not to feel like "just another show," where anything pre-2000 -- while it may not always be any one person's exact pick -- is bound to mean a lot more to their catalog, if only due to the relative scarcity of that material.

I'm very happy with the pre-2000 shows. I love them. All I stated was that I'd buy a show that has been previously released. Yeesh. I want a '96 show just like everyone else. I want a '97 show just like everyone else. I'd also love to have Verona 2000 on vinyl because it would just be fucking perfect. Same with the Mansfield Acoustic Set, I'd buy that in heartbeat.

Verona 2000 is close to perfection. My first bootleg.

That setlist, that venue, the sound of that tour, was just special.

I wasn't replying to you specifically, just putting my two cents into the more general discussion about wanting to see the VFC shows, etc. released. I'd enjoy that, I'm sure, but I think going backwards is the biggest opportunity of the project. I tend to feel like the Bellingham 2000 show was the least exciting Vault release thus far, just because it was the 73rd concert released from that year (and was hardly among its better performances).
But hey, if they start pressing vinyls of the 2000 shows and people are into that, then right on.

I feel like the vinyl production is also the biggest hinderance to the release schedule of these things too.
I'd quite happily buy digital versions of partial shows, soundchecks, etc.

They really should look at how the Grateful Dead put out their "Dicks Picks" and "From the Vault" series. Sometimes full shows, but oftentimes they were partial shows cobbled into excellent 3-4 disc comps comprising a tour or run of shows. Seems like an obvious way of making the most out of the "no full shows in the vault" obstacle.

Bought this last night. I had the radio recording of this forever but I hadn’t listened to it in years and I’ve really enjoyed listening to this, definitive versions of some of these songs.

I want more shows from the 1994 tour. Specifically 3/26, Murfreesboro.

This is great. I've always had the bootleg but haven't listened in many years. So pumped to have my first show in a good-sounding official version.
They were pretty damn locked in - impressive considering how sporadic and rough that tour was.

Which songs do you think? I'm nominating Not For You for the
Definitive Live project.
