There's a prop on the ballot proposing a tax hike for schools that literally everyone is against. Democrats endorse a no, republicans endorse a no, the paper endorses a no. My line cooks endorse a no. I wonder how it's going to do?

We did no excuse, early voting on Saturday at the local government center. The line took about 30 minutes or so. There was even a ballot for kids to fill out (I'm putting my money on the monkey or dinosaur to win best animal). I cast the 13,238th ballot in the town (population around 125-135,000)
Godspeed to all of you voting today.

I voted on Saturday morning. I left my house at 9:18, drove to the pharmacy, got a flu shot and a covid booster, drove to town hall, voted, was back home by 10:35.

i have no idea why people would wait until today to stand in line and vote when they could knock it out well beforehand

Our early voting lines were taking upwards of an hour to get through. Same as today I'm sure.

My parents are voting today because they have some romantic notions about voting on election day. I've tried to convince them not to be romantic about voting, but they're too soft

I voted today - no line, no wait. If I lived in a different state, I would probably vote early.

This was the first year CT had early voting, I went mid-afternoon after some deliveries and I think it took about eleven minutes overall. The most positive part was the fact that there was no one standing outside attempting a last minute effort to sway my vote. Voting after a day of work and having to walk through that shit was awful.

btw, my kids' high school is being used as a polling place so ... once again ... no school for them (this follows an early dismissal last Friday).

Our whole system is out today. Virtually all the schools are polling places.

That has always been the way here as well.

Here too, except they gave them yesterday off as well.

Man, I'm getting tired of these NGOs and their get out the vote efforts.
No idea whether this org is credible.

Our public schools were closed Friday, Monday, and today. Good times for all the parents out there...

We just voted. Polling place is a Baptist church. I always feel uncomfortable that someone of a different religion is forced to vote there. Hell I'm uncomfortable, there were some nutjobs outside just sitting there staring at people as they walked in. Imagine if some of these people were forced to go vote in a Mosque or Temple.

I went to vote at 6:40 and got back home around 7:20. Just a long line to put the ballot into the ballot box, as there was only one.
It was my daughter's first presidential vote. My wife said she liked it.
