Also, if anyone has any advice on trading....
no advice, but just more complaining from me: two of my leagues are the absolute worst in terms of trades (a bunch of lawyers). everyone is always assuming that the other is out to screw them in a trade, and they don't want to be perceived as being taken advantage of. come to think of it, i'm not sure why i'm still even in those leagues.

my best league will be a group of us from my son's school -- we're doing a father/son league (which i'm sure will eventually turn into just a father league after the kids lose interest). we draft monday.

That father/son league sounds like a blast. Good luck with that.

Yeah, I haven't had much success with trades in either of my leagues. But this league is more apt to trade than my other league. So that's good. I'll see if I can't get some traction.

as someone that has won exactly once in 18 years in one of my leagues, i would say that i'm not a qualified arbiter of whether a draft is good or bad.
ouch...i won twice two years ago :hooray:

I won the "regular season" once. But then immediately lost in the playoffs. So... yeah, I'm hardly a winner. But even I can recognize how bad my most recent draft was.

Nah. This is the other league. The massive 14 team league with a bunch of friends from college. I draft for the Chiefs league this coming Sunday. And that's the one I'm much more interested in.

What? Oh! The roster....

So, just so y'all have the full break down:
14 Team, Half-PPR, snake style draft. I drafted from the 6. And these are the players I drafted:

QB: Jay Cutler
RB: Theo Riddick
RB: Frank Gore
WR: Odell Beckham Jr.
WR: TY Hilton
WR: Julian Edelman*
TE: Gronk
FLX: Donte Moncrief
BN: Ted Ginn Jr
BN: Cole Beasley
BN: Duke Johnson Jr
BN: Darren Sproles
BN: Kenny Galloday

*The Edelman pick was a mistake. I was drafting online. My computer froze. I was trying to draft Larry Fitzgerald but I ran out of time and the computer auto-picked Edelman for me. I have since dropped him and picked up Gio Bernard for RB depth.

It's gonna be a rough fucking year. The Edelman gaffe got in my head. And then I took Moncrief without thinking that I already had Hilton. Then a massive QB run started for some stupid reason. I figured I could wait it out since it would be so long between picks for me. But I forgot that the computer was auto-drafting 5 of the teams, so 5 teams took 2 QB's, which never happens in this league. So, I'm streaming QB's. Which is fine. Smokin' J Cutty's got a favorable opening stretch. But man...

I don't hate my bench except that I don't love my starting roster. I also waffled about OBJ. I've got a bad feeling about him this season. I should have started with AJ Green.

Oh well.

Hopefully, Gronk can make it through at least 12 games. He should offset my terrible RB core.

Yeah but I like Cutler's week one match up better. I'm sure Wentz is still hanging around, though. Do you think I should pick him up?
