The reason I asked is because there is a line in the cinematic masterpiece Madame Web where she specifically says "recycling bin" and it felt false to my ears. No self respecting deep southerner or Texan would say that, but I take it that a New Yorker it's suitably brainwashed to use the term regularly. I will count this as a plus for the movie. You win this round, Madame Web.

I don’t even say it at all, we don’t have recycling where I live.

But when I’m somewhere that does provide it, I just call it recycling.

We had recycling in Austin, but from what I could tell people just threw their trash into whatever dumpster wasn't overflowing that day.

like 4% of the stuff people sort into their "recycling" actually gets recycled. it's a total scam.
