I feel like there is a homebrew thread here somewhere but I came up empty on a basic search...

Anyways.. Always wanted to learn home brewing but have held off for various reasons. Mainly not wanting to dump a bunch of cash on something that could be shit. But I found a local brewery that lets folks come in and use their equipment and staff to craft either their recipes or custom ones, thinking about doing it. Anyone have something similar local or done something of the sort? I figure it's a good starting point that could allow me to tiptoe into it and branch out to solo eventually should I wish to

Had an Abbey Dubbel at Wilderness Brewing today. It was insanely good. A butterscotch start with a bizzare fig/date finish. I know that probably doesn't sound good, but it was actually really fucking tasty.

Burnt Hickory Brewing's Ezekiel's Wheel (Zeke) is a nice Pale Ale.

I saw a mini keg of Hopslam advertised on CL today, little over a gallon- like those Heineken ones. Anybody seen one, or more importantly know what they retail for?

Anyone try the Pineapple Sculpin? I think they went one Sculpin too far on this one. Too much of a fruity aftertaste.
