And for the 'don't max kawhi' crowd. Hes the only spurs player who didnt look overwhelmed at times tonight. If they were to lose him and not get some warm bodies in via free agency I'd be surprised if they make the playoffs in the west next season. Its just too tough.

The way the cap is going up the next few years maxing out Kawhi this year will be a bargain. I'd take him on the Celts in a sec.

A crowd can chant mvp for a former mvp or one of the top few candidates during a season. Thats it. Thats why they are Clippers fans I guess...

As far as the game goes I still would worry about depth if I was the clippers but the spurs looked pretty oldand unathletic tonight. Especially parker.

Chris Paul has been really good this year and will likely finish in the top 5 voting.

Hes not going to win the mvp. If you finnish 5th in mvp voting all it means is someone is a dumbass or a homer. Everyone knows its curry. Last night bulls fans hit jimmy butler with mvp chants after he got hot in the fourth.

The madness needs to stop.

Do you really think someone finishing in the top 5 but outside of the top spot in the voting isn't an accomplishment? I agree about the chant, but dismissing his performance over the past season is bit much. He's been the engine for the league's best offense and is probably the best defender in the position.

I loved that one time Heat fans chanted MVP for Joel Anthony back in the 2011 playoffs. That was pretty classic. But yeah, I actually agree with verb in general on this. But if CP3 finishes top 5 then I guess he is worthy of a chant, even if it's nonsense. I thought I heard Jimmy Butler get one last night, but I just had the game on in the background, so I could be wrong. If he did get one, then that's crazy.

The chant for fringe MVP candidates/max deal guys is almost as tired as booing guys who just signed with another team or didn't meet your expectations (ex. Hawks fans booing Joe Johnson).

There are other ways to call attention to a players great season than chanting mvp at the free throw line and drawing attention to the fact they dont belong in the same conversation as curry or harden.

I think noah finished 5th in voting last year, for a reference point.

Steve Smith called the Bulls game and I thought he did a good job. Also don't mind Cwebb. Reggie is just terrible.

Celts try so hard but there are just outclassed. Evan Turner has no business being the primary ball handler against a playoff defense.
