You can't be allowed to run around the pitch basically naked. Grealish must be stopped.

Villa were fortunate today. That didn't look offsides to me.

Meh, it's embarrassing for sure but the olympics isnt really very prestigious in international soccer, especially this time around in clown covid world. After about two days of anal swabs and no fans in Tokyo people are going to want to go home. The real u23 USMNT best 11 would have wiped the floor with the entire region but those guys are the first team at the senior level and wouldn't have been released by their clubs anyway.

Love it when you’ve got the April-May final games of the season in English football. Thankfully Palace seem to be safe.

Pulisic scored an almost identical goal against Palace last season.

Can’t say this news about a small “super league” is encouraging.

Football is dead.
Even as a Tottenham fan i have to laugh at the idea of us being one of europe's elite.
Either way if this happens I'm done watching soccer.

The fact that they’re changing the rules to guarantee themselves success is crazy. This is about to get really ugly really, really quickly.

There's talk of world cup bans for the players and the teams being kicked out of their leagues but I'm not hopeful.
I doubt they'd be going through with it if they thought that was anything more than a bluff.

Just wait until there’s some sort of financial guarantee to the individual leagues from these teams that will make the leagues or the uefa completely back off, and then proclaim to the fans that they got something out of the deal for the fans.

Presumably many of the best players in the world play for these super league clubs.
It would be pretty bad for business to ban the players people actually want to watch from your competition no?

Yes, but allowing this to happen would also be bad for the league. A lot of the excitement of the league campaign is the race for the top 4 (7, with Europa league). That would be gone if the (supposed) top 6 automatically qualify for the Super League every year.
Frankly, it's astonishing to me that this is happening. A league without relegation, where qualification is no longer based on merit runs completely counter to some of the main principle of football.

Ultimately money and greed have already ruined football anyway. This is just the final nail in the coffin.

So are they cancelling the UCL Senmis or what? Do they put Dortmund Porto and Bayern back in?

there are so many moving parts to this super league it's hard to keep track of them all. just wait until the networks with the broadcast rights sue to get out of their agreements because they're left with what they think is a watered-down product.
