Is that really a graduation? The band's ethos changed after Riot Act, simple as that; no need to label it.

does that private jet belong to PJ or was it a one-off limo ride in the air?

NetJets is a world leader in private aviation. He did a private show for them.

There is always a need to label, rank and list everything, obviously! I don't care about the bands profit margins, but the PRAMG seems to influence the music as well. If this album sucks, it could easily earn itself a PLBMG label.

Somehow I missed that the show was for NetJets...that’s pretty funny.

You just know Ed was pouring co2 into the atmosphere via jet during the Cubs world series run.

the first ‘money grab’ was yield. i stand by it. i dont think this influences the music in any real substantive way. correlation is not causation.

The visionary bringing you an unabashedly climate-change themed album presents:

A private performance at a miami beach superbowl party honoring a private jet company

There is flying to do shows, to go on vacation, to see family, to do 'charity' gigs etc.

Then there is actively helping to promote a private jet company. This is beyond absurd and represents a complete lack of awareness. Like, what is he thinking? When at the moment pressure is put on ordinary folks to curb their habits ...

I don't want to be over dramatic, but this has put a dampener on the tour/record, for me. I like to separate the art from the artist but this, Jesus ... I don't know guys.

Private shows for Target, a store focused on selling products to average american consumers, v. Private shows for NetJet, a company aimed at providing transportation to the 1%. I'm just saying the PLBMG is strong.

For what it's worth, and this is a true story, I was at a party about 18 years ago in LA. I met a guy there who is a private jet pilot. My friend told him that I was a huge Pearl Jam fan. Pilot then went on and on about how nice the band is and acted better than 99 percent of other celebs and bands. "Just regular guys" was the only quote I could remember.

I just know it is a private jet for rent company. They used to advertise during big events like the Super Bowl and other things. I know it is expensive because I looked into coming out to see you in one of them and it was out of my price range.

They're a private jet company. Eddie, a life long environmentalist played an exclusive performance for their owners. What more do you need to know? Do you think there's a chance they're really saving starving children but hiding behind a facade of 'Private Jet Company'.

That one private jet trip eddie did probably did more damage than a lifetime of using re-usable grocery bags. I don't get it, guys. Would love for someone to ask him his reasoning here.

is the "G" here "Grab" or "Game"?

or perhaps "Gun"? Glorified version of a money grab?

I believe you pay a membership fee to join and then can purchase individual flights based on your needs. My friend's dad is a pilot for them. He says they are a great company to work for. :?

I always thought this ... the more commercial/tight/radio play sound, opening for the Stones, the rollout and promotion, etc. It was more or less confirmed by BOB quotes in the PJ20 book. The difference was that a lot of people were clamoring for the band to "return to form" and to tour.

Verizon commercial is fine - music nowadays has to get placed into unconventional places to cut through the noise.
