Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The Aviator

Never saw this. Any good?

It’s not great, and it’s 170 minutes long, which can feel really long. But it’s made in an excellent way by Martin Scorcese and his crew, has a top cast, and tells a captivating true story about Howard Hughes from the late 20s to the mid 40s. Cate Blanchett does a great Katharine Hepburn.

Wipeouts mostly. I wasn't feeling the butthole stuff! Have they always done butthole stuff?

I'm fine with "professionals" getting hurt for money and exaggerating how hurt they are for the spectacle, which is basically what Jackass is. But I draw the line at hot sauce enemas, apparently.
