Bogart used to refer to the movie as The Amazing Dr. Clitoris.

I'm not one to argue with Bogart

I’ve seen it before, but I think it was off a poor free stream online, in my then quest to watch all of the Bogie movies.

This time via Google Play it had a lot better quality, and it helped me enjoy the movie more. Edward G. Robinson is really the one that elevates this picture from a middle of the road late 30s gangster movie, to something well worth watching. He plays a doctor that becomes a criminal in order to fully understand criminal behavior.

Not one of Bogart’s best roles, but he is still very enjoyable here, as one of the lead thugs.

I occasionally miss my video store days and having to turn the thermostat off at close which happened to be located in the adult film room, I always got a good chuckle but the only title that seems to have stuck is Tales from the Backside.

Ugh. Awful movie. My wife enjoyed it though. That’s a huge red flag for me.

This was trashy and fun and stupid, as expected.

Watched a second nun-related movie, The Nun (1966). No relation to the shitty horror film from a few years ago. It was directed by Jacques Rivette and starred Anna Karina at the peak of her powers. This was actually really fucking good. Most every frame was like a preraphaelite painting. Really lovely

Remind me to never become a nun. Seems like a bad idea!

I have never seen even a single film by either Jacques Rivette or Eric Rohmer, surprisingly.

I'm not sure that qualifies as a nun story.

I was watching Midsommar last night but started feeling really sleepy so I turned it off 20 minutes before the end. I hope everything turns out OK
