Yes. I agree. (I did this in the post, btw). No one knows what the future looks like. Some people won't have much of a choice. It's also true that real change happens when we're in crisis mode. These concerns have a better chance of being heard now, compared to "normal" times. I also feel like "slow to heed the warnings" in America will also mean "slow to heed the call back to work."

How's your shoulder? I assume any surgery you had planned got pushed back as an elective procedure.
It's a two-tendon tear so they call it massive - supra and inter supra I think - both more than.5 cm retracted so that means not an operation by it's normal means . But within the last year or two the doctors came up with something surgery and in 2020 they fixed that fault with a repair they call the "sandwich" .

I'm like 10 weeks post op. It feels stable, I just don't have range of motion back and deal with mild soreness. I only within the last week or two have gotten back into my running routine.

A dumbass who thankfully learnt his lesson from the bushfire crisis and has been pretty proactive on this. For example we've had a travel ban on all arrivals from China since February 1, one week after our first case of COVID-19 was identified.

The weird thing was that they started with a travel ban from the EU, but not one from the UK. Seemed like a political move, not one based on the spread of the virus.
