I feel more and more confident about my theory. They want the release to coincide with the start of the tour. they want to announce the album to coincide with the start of tickets going on sale. Because there is a 3 month gap they will fill it with lots of random tidbits. I bet we get a new interview or bit of album news (artwork, tracklist, possibly a second song) every week or so from here on out.
I was wondering about this. There are around 12 weeks, and 12 songs. It would make sense.

You're goddamn right. Maybe instead of having the album leak unintentionally, they will literally leak it themselves on purpose. Since we've had the MYM single and the 2 live tracks. They may be using different methods for all of the tracks.
So we're thinking the kind of thing they did with Stone's new album that we all eventually lost interest in?

Not that extreme maybe just title and or little interview clip about each song.

So maybe...if lightning bolt really is about the earth and how its changing and going to shit. ..mother nature and the end....and future days is a post apocalyptic song as I think it is....maybe sirens is also a natural disaster song....storms and loss and what not...I see a pattern...MYM is about our society and its overall shitiness right now...maybe there's a theme to the whole album. END OF THE WORLD AND DOWNFALL OF THE HUMAN RACE!

that's dark. ..and I like it! Hope I'm right, but probably not. Lol

Post apocalyptic concept album would be so cool. I wish i could see future days as some kind of lovers at the end of the word love ballad but i'm not, currently.

If you look at the lyrics we have I don't think it's a stretch at all.

That's how I'm seeing it...lover's who came out the otherside stronger rather than letting the end of the world tear them apart. They can go into the future together.

I hope it's a double album featuring Jack Irons on drums.

Exactly, after reading someones theory on LB about it having to do with the world and mother nature and us screwing everything up, I started to think about Future Days and the lyrics. They talk about hurricanes, cyclones, winds and dust, tides raising....and closer became us...like after it all happened...And I'm still hearing what sounds like a storm siren at the begining of that soundcheck song soooo....

People want a double album (or triple in the case of the Doc) from this band?? They haven't even been able to put together a good single album since 2000.

Sure, but it makes re-tracking much more fun!

what about the lyrics makes you think that? the bit about cyclones/hurricanes/etc? to me that just looks like a plain 'we had bad times but we stuck together and now we're stronger because of that'
you can always read these lines that way if you want but it still sounds like a stretch and a bit of wishful thinking to me
