I felt like a fan-boy hipster when I pointed out that the last 7 albums were all released in similar packaging.
I would've been like "Look, I don't care what the packaging looks like. I just want to buy this bullshit CD my dad sent me here to get so I can go home and get back to working on my King of Queens cosplay outfits."
Unless she was hot. Then I would've been like "Oh my God, that IS quite interesting!"

Got one yesterday saying my vinyl is shipped but CD is in the warehouse

That's great isn't it. We buy it months in advance and we don't get physical copies till after everyone.

This will probably change a little down the line, but:
Yellow Moon
Swallowed Whole
Pendulum
(Pilate / Deep)
Let The Records Play
Getaway
Lightning Bolt
(Dung)
Infallible
Mind Your Manners
(Evacuation)
Sirens
My Father's Son
(Come Back)
(Users of the term 'pacifically')
Sleeping By Myself
Future Days

Nice little harmonics to transition into the 2nd verse.
The dddddddrown part is kinda dumb.
I thought he was saying 'to be drowned'...
Loving how lush the lossless version of Swallowed Whole sounds.
I think this song is a great example of Matt playing exactly what is required

Nup - I just checked, it's a record-skipping vocal effect. I wonder who's to blame for that

I thought it sounded unnatural. What a weirdass effect to shove in for no goddamn reason.

So far ive got 7 songs remaining on my ipod, the same s/t, so I guess thats a good thing.
swallowed whole
yellow moon
mym
sbm
getaway
mfs
pendulum.
And s/t's...
- Spoiler: show
- Severed hand
Comatose
Army reserve
Unemployable
Big wave
Parachutes
Wws
Some of these will probably drop off over time, when guilt and loyalty to the band is overthrown by 'why the fuck am I listening to this'.

I can't speak for Lightning Bolt yet, but I can tell you my review for album #11 which I'm determined to make longer than stip's for LB is coming along quite well. I think this might be the return to form we've all been longing for.

Do you delete songs from your Ipod because of storage issues or do you just not want to have them there? It would drive me insane to have half albums on my Ipod.

I see both sides - but I tend to keep entire albums on my iPod because in the 7 years I've owned one my musical tastes change and I start liking things I didn't like in the past.

My ipod is a mess, it would disgust most of you im sure. I listen to stuff on shuffle more than whole albums. I delete stuff when I realise I skip it pretty much all the time, or it comes on and I think ' why the fuck am I listening to this?' Though if I really dislike a song I dont even bother putting it on. See: every lightning bolt song I didnt mention.
Stuff works its way back sometimes though, if I care enough to check out the whole album again later down the line. I had half of yield missing for a while, I think its all there now, in hiding is on its last legs though
The only problems it causes is that I remember albums being better than they are cause ive gotten rid of everything I dont like lol.

Yeah, that would drive me mad but I understand that it's better to only have tracks you really like when you're listening to shuffle. I need to have everything on there at all times even if I don't enjoy some songs. My Ipod isn't even full yet after 5 years of having it.

I quite liked his take on Better Days recently and I still think Light Years is one of his best vocal performances ever. Sometimes I watch live performances on youtube (slow lukin and close your eyes spring to mind) and wonder why he doesn't sing in a more natural, unfussy register more often on albums (Backspacer was all over the place) but on most of the new tracks his delivery is fantastically unforced, with Yellow Moon being a stand out.
I don't like the Light Years vocal all that much. There are some really nice parts to Better Days--especially the end.
