I think the Sharks and Senators are probably my two favourites to watch. Sens have always been an exciting team. Anyone who watched them tie the game with .1 seconds left on the clock last night knows what I mean.

As far as the sharks go Brent Burns is undeniably talented.

I've always had a soft spot for the Sharks, especially a few years ago when they had those great regular seasons then bowed out early in the playoffs. I always felt bad for them.

did not see. I watched the battle of ontario, the ducks vs. kings and sharks vs. vancouver.

I gotta say the kings and ducks seemed like a higher caliber of hockey. the ducks are insane good, but its hard not to hate them...

Big W for the Stars yesterday and 10 of their last 15 reg season games at home. Tied with the B Hawks for most points in the conference and they play two more times. Get excited!

Yeah, it's definitely not a great year to finally do the right thing and sink to the bottom. It seems to me that most Leafs fans have the right mentality, though: expect to pick fourth, be happy with anything better. At least they finally have some great prospects and are heading in the right direction.

The Toronto media is being pretty comical in regards to the tank. I saw an article earlier that basically said "Toronto is doing it the right way and not the shameful way the Sabres did"

Matthew Tkachuk is gonna be a top 5 pick. Makes me feel super old.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. They're not bottoming out the way the Sabres did last year (and they definitely have a lot more legitimate NHL talent on their roster), but what the Sabres did wasn't shameful... it was a really, really smart strategy.

The last few games, the Leafs have played a line with William Nylander and Kasperi Kapanen. My "I'm getting old" moment was when I remembered back to the first hockey video game I ever really played when I was a kid, NHL '96, and realized that Sami Kapenen wasn't even in it yet.

Fun fact: Brooks Laich assisted on William Nylander's first career goal the other day, just under seven years after he assisted on Michael Nylander's last career goal.
