The Color of Money.
These days, it's just that self-serious blend of overly sensitive and quick to lash out, and that goddamned certainty that he's always in the right. He seems to find exactly where those elements are in each script, so kudos I guess. It really can take some characters who might otherwise appear to be sleepwalking through the movie (see: Oblivion) and make them feel like they're reacting internally beyond what the script is giving them.
On the other hand, it can take other characters and make them feel like complete and total assholes, because at the end of the day....

It's like they're less human, and I instinctively react to that.

that's the real reason they're insecure and ultimately creepy around women. I've known a few guys about my height (I'm 5'4, so: short) who have no other excuse for being creepy except for their height issues. i'm pretty sure of that.
also, they like to grow mustaches and beards so they can prove they're grown ups. mostly the mustaches.
really contributes to the creepy vibe imo

Guy who played bass for me was short. Like, malice height. He was wicked funny, for how thoroughly he accepted life shitting on him.

Here we go. Some email one-liners, except he has no sense of humor and they're all totally, totally serious.
I should hang with this guy more often.
I'd settle for some dignity and/or hair at this point
I should probably ask my wife for permission. I'm not allowed to have friends over since we replaced the couch
So, I cleared out my stuff at the guitarist's house on Sunday and he said they weren't going to use the name I created. This was a big sigh of relief. Drummer e-mailed me today and ripped me a new one, calling me an incessantly, disappointment of a bassist when he didn't get the band name. Sad thing is that I would have been a bro if they weren't so harsh to me.
When I offended my boss by pointing out the obvious, he made sure my manager gave me a demoralizing performance eval that took nothin' but cheap shots at me. It didn't help that I discovered I make the same as a new grad despite 8 years in my position and an additional 4 years in the department.
I'm seeing my parents next week. It'll be weird. They basically excommunicated me after my brother injured his hand when he punched me in the face.
I have a guitar room but I'm rarely allowed to be in it

I generally like backing you up on stuff. Mostly because it is sure to put me at odds with the rest of RM.
I respect you for that.
You won't get that sort of behavior out of guys like Joe.
I'm not sure what you're getting at here, Francis.
You act like the guy at parties who strives hard to be liked. Or you just like pissing me off because I question your love for that Girls show.
Is this really the impression I give? Huh...
Nah, I don't really care whether or not folks like me. I just enjoy being pleasant and I'm kinda over the whole "I can be a dick, just cuz it's teh internetz" thing. So I try to get along and laugh and engage in a productive way.
It doesn't bother me if folks don't like the same things I like. But your reasons for disliking Girls and our discussions of the show thus far, have been pretty idiotic. And that bugs me. Because I think you should be smarter than that. But to each their own, friend.

McParadigm wrote:Costner seems to have found his place as action-drama supporting cast figure, though. He was just about the only humanity to be seen in Man of Steel, and kept his 2D character from standing out as 2D in that Shadow Recruit movie. He just shouldn't ever be expected to carry, is all.
I thought Costner was pretty damn terrible in 'Steel.' Like, just so whispery-acty-phony-hand-blank, bad.

DCT has always seemed fair to me. Yes, he :luv:s a little too much, but we need some to balance out all the , , and .
I you so hard.

Did anyone watch that Hatfield and McCoys miniseries? Costner was pretty good in that.
