Right but why are we sure those are the only boats on that side of the narrow sea? Why are we so sure Varys isn't already doing his thing and acquiring more boats? Why are we only talking about the Dothraki here? She's about to wreck some major shit, guys. She'll fucking take whatever she wants. Including boats. If there aren't any boats to be had, then I imagine she'll sick some dragons on some fuckers across the way. This will convince some other fuckers to wave their banners for her and pledge her some goddamn boats.

For fuck's sake. This conversation is worse than all of reddit freaking out about those missing goddamn dogs a few episodes ago. Christ.
calm down
DON'T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN YOU PIECE OF ah I don't care. I don't have the strength to keep this up.

Proud of you guys.
Actually, like five pages ago, trag posted about them:

I mean, the boobs were awesome! But the fire stuff was just so clumsy.
And I actually like where Jon Snow's story is headed for once.

Really excited about the final shot of Bran from next week's promo.

I'm not sure why the writers would make a point of destroying all those boats if it doesn't have some impact on the storyline. At the very least, it should force some sort of alliance between Danny/Tyrion and whoever has a lot of boats (Greyjoys?)

That'll actually be really interesting. All shtick aside, I wonder about that too. Even as I watched the episode and had chills up and down my arms, I had this weird feeling that something terrible and violent is going to happen.

I just think if they do go and Dany takes all the other armies and all the other slaves and the Unsullied and everyone is willing to fight for her and she can get to Westeros somehow, I'm not sure which army has any real chance against her. But that's a big if right now.

Agreed. I don't recall anyone saying that burning the boats wouldn't have some impact on the story. It does/will, obviously. It's just not a deal breaker.

i think this all goes back to tyrion's comment a couple episodes ago about how "the true history of the world is the history of great conversations in elegant rooms." if dany gets what she wants, it won't be by a great battle with dothraki.

If that is the case, then that will pretty much end the show, right?

Aegon the Conqueror didn't use conversations to take Westeros.

Perhaps. But what does Dany actually want? What's her endgame? Is it the Iron Throne? Is it to rule everything? Is it to be Queen across the Narrow Sea? We have ideas but she hasn't actually come right out and said what she wants in a while. And she's changing. She's only an interesting character when she's active. She's only powerful in situations where she's seemingly powerless. That's when she thrives. I don't imagine Dany sitting around a room and talking very successfully. Not saying that very thing won't be her undoing. But if she wants to be Queen, she won't take Tyrion's road.

It'll end Dany's part of it probably, yeah.

i think she wants to be a righteous, just queen. she's an amalgam of everything that everybody who professed to be righteous and just preached but, ironically, failed because of. to be sure, she has the blood of nobility. but whereas all other nobles ruled from above, she wants to rule as one of the people. that's why i think it may turn out differently for her.
