Surely he'd be smart enough to come up with more of a different name, if that were the case.

My mindset is that most of the launch singles from each album have been 'middle of the road' songs. So there has always been shittier songs on the album, but also quite a few better songs.

So if this is a middle of the road song for LB, then I'm really looking forward to the better tracks.
Yeah.

I was thinking about Mike's comments about this album being WAY better than Backspacer. Could that be because he wrote the lead single, which happens to rock and have a solo? Mike's probably feeling pretty good about himself...
Mike's has written, in my opinion, three of PJ's all time best songs: Brain of J, Faithfull, Given to Fly (3 of the best from Yield incidentally). I like other things he's done too but he will never top those.

It's pretty crazy that he wrote the latter two on the same afternoon.

I think that with the release of Just Breathe that Pearl Jam fans lost all moral high ground to make that type comparison to Creed.

pitchfork is to this review as pearl jam is to creed as Arms Wide Open is to Just Breathe.
Just Breathe isn't perfect but it's better than anything Creed ever wrote and is nothing like Creed.
Creed-bashing. Must be 1999.

What year is Creed praise confined to?

This is gonna happen to Pj any day now:)

They've given many, many subpar drunk performances and it's never happened yet.
