Re: What are you drinking right now?
No, sir. Not me. I'm not afraid of dying at all. It's gonna happen eventually. But if I could milk forever out of this live, you're goddamn right I would. Death isn't scary, but it is a bummer. I'd love to live forever.Iholdthepain wrote:I'm afraid of dying, but I think I'm more afraid to live forever...durdencommatyler wrote:Iholdthepain wrote:who the hell wants to live forever, anyway?durdencommatyler wrote:I know.Iholdthepain wrote:dammitt!durdencommatyler wrote:Probably not.Iholdthepain wrote:it's BPA-free... does that help?durdencommatyler wrote:Careful though. Those last two posts of mine were merely quotes... IRL, I just want to go before my wife and kid dodurdencommatyler wrote:No, sir. Not me. I'm not afraid of dying at all. Re: What are you drinking right now?
I was kinda making a dark joke. My wife and I talk about this a lot. We both are pretty selfish about it. She hopes she goes first and I hope I go first. Because neither of us are sure we could handle losing the other one. Ideally, we'd go at the exact same time. But what are the odds of that? Outside of joint suicide, I mean.Iholdthepain wrote:it's the natural order of things... but good point.durdencommatyler wrote:That's right. I don't like thinking about myself or my loved ones no longer existing. Ugh.

It's possible, yeah. Hopefully it would be on the back from some place really great and not on the way there.Kaius wrote:You two could always die in a car or plane crash, dct.

Having kids makes this whole predicament so much worse.durdencommatyler wrote:It's possible, yeah. Hopefully it would be on the back from some place really great and not on the way there.Kaius wrote:You two could always die in a car or plane crash, dct.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
You guys need to start giving each other poison in the morning and then administer the antidote in the evening. The key is to keep the type of poison you are both using secret - that way if your wife dies during the day you won't be able to get the antidote and you'll dies as well.durdencommatyler wrote:I was kinda making a dark joke. No offense intended with this. It's obviously an unfair statement to make to someone without kids.Kaius wrote:Having kids makes this whole predicament so much worse.durdencommatyler wrote:It's possible, yeah. Nah, of course you want to go before your kids. No brainer. And they want the same. It's expected.Kaius wrote:Having kids makes this whole predicament so much worse.durdencommatyler wrote:It's possible, yeah. Sorry. I mixed up my quotes. I was referring to the whole "ceasing to exist" bummer.

I'd rather just cuddle up for a re-run of Mad Men, fall asleep together and just never wake up. But your way sounds fun too.tommymtcom wrote:You guys need to start giving each other poison in the morning and then administer the antidote in the evening.
