Ed Sheeran's popularity is strange. I suppose he has tapped the middle aged women/teenage girl demographic but just look at the guy. He also has albums titled + and -. Cynical bastard.

Only reason I ever heard of him was this guy on another forum was obsessive about Taylor Swift (like, bought tickets to the super-special front row thing where it was a bunch of pre-teens and their dads and this guy) on the same tour she did with him. Said he was an alright dude, especially knowing that half the show was there for her and the other half had no clue who he was or what he was going to do.

I think she's cool and has some good tunes that are pushing some boundaries of what pop r&b is right now, and I think she's awesome for younger girls and women. But, some of it (ie. last night) really comes with this messiah-esque attitude that seems a little forced and unnecessary

I love how they take an entire year of music releases and condense it down to five choices. But this is the same argument for every awards show.
