I was so lonely talking to myself in this thread.

Now we get infected by experts.

Welcome my friends. I can’t believe you came all this way to see me

“This movie had a very, very specific challenge, which was to take eight films and give an ending to three trilogies, and so we had to look at, what is the bigger story? We had conversations amongst ourselves, we met with George Lucas before writing the script,”
Abrams revealed. “These were things that were in real, not debate, but looking at the vastness of the story and trying to figure out, what is the way to conclude this? But it has to work on its own as a movie, it has to be its own thing, it has to be surprising and funny and you have to understand it.”

Trailer is good and non specific. Looking forward to seeing this.

And nothing comes close to the awe I saw in my daughters eye as that trailer started. There’s fire there.

Obviously not in the movies, but have we ever actually seen or done anything on Endor elsewhere in the canon?

I have to imagine the death star portion of this will be on Endor. Would make the most sense that is where it fell to.

Star Wars is Pearl Jam.

No, "someone mc someone"; are you illiterate?

I agree that something like that is the most likely, probably in the old death star.
I see no reason he can’t come back as a force ghost a la Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda and Luke.
Agree and if Palpatine comes back it should be in that way. I hope Luke is handled the same way.

have we considered that maybe Palpatine isn't actually going to be in this?

Abrams confirmed today that Palpatine is in the movie. Said he was surprised people didn't know already since Ian was openly on set.

I remember a scene from one of the animated series where Hera is there post-return of the Jedi. But that's it
