And this is the point where I get off the bus. I've tried to follow along and have been having a harder and harder time making sense of the whole trans debate since it, for whatever reason, became such a big issue. It's not something that particularly touches me (although I personally know I think 2 individuals who would identify as trans) but on the grand scheme of things this is, imo, a total nothing burger that the US seems fixated on.

I can't be bothered anymore. The levels of stupidity reached with this apparent political debate are beyond my willingness to engage anymore.

I've always said you do you, whatever that may be, just don't hurt anyone while doing it. I'm sticking to that line. Peace.

There’s not going to be an election if Trump is alive. He’ll declare martial law or something and suspend elections so he can remain in power. This may even happen before midterms next year.

Yeah he’ll do everything he can to stay. Not sure he’ll “run”, but i could see a delayed election

The country, as a whole, would have to be under extreme duress for that to happen.

The administration would also not be making the effort to gerrymander if that were actually a card to be played IMO.

The same way DC and Chicago And LA and Memphis are under “extreme duress?”

Born female?

Lol too bad - you can cross “woman of the year award recipient” off your list of achievable life goals.

Do you think being a transphobe makes you clever? It doesn't. It just makes you a bigot.

So, Glamour "Woman of the Year" will be transgender women from now on out? That IS quite bold.

The “I’m fine with and actually support” the Lia Thomas’s of the world competing in womens sports is WILD.

"wild" in the sense that it is novel, given the brief history of our ever-evolving modern society

why do you just accept things the way they are as the way things should be? to me that's even more wilder

That’s a fair and good perspective to have on a lot of things in life. Including transgender rights.

It’s also an insane perspective to have on a lot of things in life. 2+2 will always = 4 my man.
