And this is the point where I get off the bus. I've tried to follow along and have been having a harder and harder time making sense of the whole trans debate since it, for whatever reason, became such a big issue. It's not something that particularly touches me (although I personally know I think 2 individuals who would identify as trans) but on the grand scheme of things this is, imo, a total nothing burger that the US seems fixated on.
There’s not going to be an election if Trump is alive. He’ll declare martial law or something and suspend elections so he can remain in power. This may even happen before midterms next year.Bammer wrote:Who ya got running for Prez on the red team?E.H. Ruddock wrote:2028 is gonna be a rough year

Which has never happened but I guess that is where we are.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah he’ll do everything he can to stay. Not sure he’ll “run”, but i could see a delayed election
The country, as a whole, would have to be under extreme duress for that to happen.wease wrote:AbsolutelyBammer wrote:Wanna bet?wease wrote:There’s not going to be an election if Trump is alive. The same way DC and Chicago And LA and Memphis are under “extreme duress?”oasisfan35 wrote:Which has never happened but I guess that is where we are.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah he’ll do everything he can to stay. Not sure he’ll “run”, but i could see a delayed election

The administration would also not be making the effort to gerrymander if that were actually a card to be played IMO.
Do you think being a transphobe makes you clever? It doesn't. It just makes you a bigot.Bammer wrote:Born female?
Lol too bad - you can cross “woman of the year award recipient” off your list of achievable life goals.
Being a bigot is a feature?Ello Sailor wrote:That's a feature, not a bug.

That’s a fair and good perspective to have on a lot of things in life. Including transgender rights.tree_ wrote:"wild" in the sense that it is novel, given the brief history of our ever-evolving modern societyBammer wrote:The “I’m fine with and actually support” the Lia Thomas’s of the world competing in womens sports is WILD.
why do you just accept things the way they are as the way things should be? to me that's even more wilder
