There certainly is a 'Love is the key to saving us from ourselves' vibe in the artwork

At first glance, Lightning Bolt appears to be one track longer.Lounge Lizard wrote:Quick comparison.

It has actually changed my opinion of this song in a good way.harmless wrote:I agree. The problem is, it would only work as the closer. My worry is that it merely serves a function, like The End.Monkey_Driven wrote:I know most of you are Future Days haters, but I think it can really work as the closer.

The Backspacer track names sucked from the beginning and didn't leave me excited. These ones leave me at least intrigued because none of them are stupid except for LTRP.Lounge Lizard wrote:Quick comparison.

Agreed. This drums up a little publicity to the outside world, but this was clearly done for the hardcore fans and how cool is it for the artist to get this kind of attention.stip wrote:To give the devil his due that was a far more enjoyable way to get the tracklist than just having them post it
Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. If I genuinely like the song as recorded then what I've said will make no difference.HardTI wrote:It has actually changed my opinion of this song in a good way.harmless wrote:I agree. I can imagine a studio version of "Future Days" I'd really like. It's heavy on ambient noise and feedback, like smolder rising up from debris after some sort of cataclysm. The piano sounds distant and hazy. It won't happen.harmless wrote:Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. I refuse to let a shitty cell phone video of FD automatically hate it, but from what I could tell, it's not the kind of PJ i get into generally.harmless wrote:Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. No difference to the song but sequencing can kill an average song.harmless wrote:Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. Totally agree. Heck, the actual basic song is fine, even good. I've been humming it to myself as I've gone about my day. But that bloody piano needs to be matched by something else and not just bookend the song like at Wrigley. Have you seen the Videogremmie version? It's in good quality and still sucks.Cleverman wrote:I refuse to let a shitty cell phone video of FD automatically hate it, but from what I could tell, it's not the kind of PJ i get into generally.harmless wrote:Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. (Full disclosure: I can't stand Man Of The Hour)
