There certainly is a 'Love is the key to saving us from ourselves' vibe in the artwork

Looking at all this art and track titles together has brought out the 14 year old Cleverman (Cleverboy, I guess). This is getting close!

To give the devil his due that was a far more enjoyable way to get the tracklist than just having them post it

At first glance, Lightning Bolt appears to be one track longer.

I agree. The problem is, it would only work as the closer. My worry is that it merely serves a function, like The End.
It has actually changed my opinion of this song in a good way.

Gotta hand it to the band et al. Track list reveal was cool, made way cooler by the artwork. Titles are intriguing. Ship is tight. Zero leakage.

I give it two snaps in a lightning bolt formation.

The Backspacer track names sucked from the beginning and didn't leave me excited. These ones leave me at least intrigued because none of them are stupid except for LTRP.

Agreed. This drums up a little publicity to the outside world, but this was clearly done for the hardcore fans and how cool is it for the artist to get this kind of attention.

I bitch about PJ as much as the next guy, but they did this right.

I agree. The problem is, it would only work as the closer. My worry is that it merely serves a function, like The End.
It has actually changed my opinion of this song in a good way.
Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. If I genuinely like the song as recorded then what I've said will make no difference.

I can imagine a studio version of "Future Days" I'd really like. It's heavy on ambient noise and feedback, like smolder rising up from debris after some sort of cataclysm. The piano sounds distant and hazy. It won't happen.

I refuse to let a shitty cell phone video of FD automatically hate it, but from what I could tell, it's not the kind of PJ i get into generally.

(Full disclosure: I can't stand Man Of The Hour)

SBM is suspect to me. FD as good as missing altogether, I don't believe any amount of fixing will make it digestible.

I wish they put a hidden track at the end, and I wish not one of these titles is a "Fahkah"

No difference to the song but sequencing can kill an average song.

Early call of OTE as a secret track.

Totally agree. Heck, the actual basic song is fine, even good. I've been humming it to myself as I've gone about my day. But that bloody piano needs to be matched by something else and not just bookend the song like at Wrigley. "Brendan, it's your bit, wake up!"

Have you seen the Videogremmie version? It's in good quality and still sucks.
