I just saw that; I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times and always impressed me as a true gentleman. No doubt a Rushmore figure in the Braves franchise.Norris wrote:Hank Aaron

I was on a plane with him coming from Newark a while back. I was seated in the back and both he & Dale Murphy were on the flight, seated across the aisle in coach. On our approach into the airport I felt the plane drop a bit and then take off again at a high angle. For whatever reason the landing was aborted. I've had a couple of those but that was the first and it sudden and a little scary. We circled around and landed fine but it did cross my mind that if we went down I would have been in a plane crash with Hank Aaron and Dale Murphy.
I also met him. Once in the mid-90s. It was quite brief but he was very nice to the people that were there.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I just saw that; I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times and always impressed me as a true gentleman.
