I know most of you are Future Days haters, but I think it can really work as the closer.

I agree. The problem is, it would only work as the closer. My worry is that it merely serves a function, like The End.

It has actually changed my opinion of this song in a good way.

Obviously the placing works, so they're doing it a second time. If I genuinely like the song as recorded then what I've said will make no difference.
