After living here for 15 years previously, bumming around Chicago as a tourist is pretty surreal. It’s cold as heck but I miss this place.

We still have lunch tomorrow before heading back to Wisconsin, so it’s possible. The wife has been locked in on the Mexican food though.

The wife decided we were going for Japanese soufflé pancakes for breakfast, so my lunch was a crummy Starbucks wrap on our way to Wisconsin. Had an excellent bento box for dinner though.

we've pretty much finalized our upcoming trip...changes can always be made...3 nights nyc..off to London for 3 nights...train to Paris and stay almost 5 weeks in an airbnb..trains everywhere after to Strasberg, Berlin, Munich, Prague, then end up in Amsterdam for 5 days before heading back to London for a 2 nights and then fly home...2 months gone..

Landed back in Melbourne at 5am this morning. Home by 7am. It’s felt like 4pm ever since; it’s only 12:50pm currently. Jet lag is weird when you get back pre dawn (used to landing in the late afternoon or evening).

I’ll start multiple threads about this in an effort to get a Travel subforum going, but for now I’ll post here that I’m going to the Phoenix area for spring training in March.
