Something we can all agree on, I think.
All his songs are the best, even the ones he didn't write he contributes to in a major way (recently revealed he pretty much wrote the vocal melody to Getaway via his kick ass bassline)

I remember in that interview he seemed to be the one most fired up and passionate about carrying on the record. Looks like he maybe took the reins. Good on him.

I don't have the album (waiting on the vinyl). I was just comparing what we have with those tiny pictures at the pit. Hopefully someone else will continue the good fight.

And now I'm the next in line

Then there's dear mother, yea Shirley
She's a work of art
I never got top dollar, but she gave us all a start

Can I get a reprieve?
This gene pool drowning me
Can I beg a release?
I'm a volunteer amputee

From the moment i fail
I call on DNA
Why such betrayal?
Got me tooth and nail

Yeh How's about one conversation
With nothing else left to be had?
With this your young long lost son
And his never had dear old dad

Forget the insemination
And for that I'm supposed to be glad?
What a pity you left us so soon
To climb your mountain of regret

Can I get a reprieve?
This gene pool dark and deep
Can I beg a release?
Can I volunteer amputee

From the moment I fail
I call on DNA
Why such betrayal?
Gotta set sail

All the bright lights shining
As you're trying to breathe in thin air
Cannot forget you're hiding
Collected wounds left unhealed

When every thought you're thinking
Sinks you darker than the new moon sky
The far away lights rising
In the whites of your eyes

Now Father you're dead and gone
And I'm finally free to be me.
Thanks for all your fucked-up gifts
For which I got no sympathy

Now I'm living in a war torn place
Hear the bombs, a 5th syphmony
Thanks for this and thanks for that
Gotta let go legacy

Can I get a reprieve?
This gene pool drowning me
Can I beg a release?
Can I volunteer amputee

From the moment I fail,
I call on DNA
Why such betrayal?
I gotta set sail
Its 'shirley', not 'surely'? Huh.

I do like the band members' silouettes but otherwise I'm indifferent to the artwork. Not really a complaint though; I'd rather be neutral than dislike it.

There was a ' dont call me shirley' joke in there somewhere, but I lack the skillz to pull it off.

Edit: there you are lol

If "Shirley" is in the text, there's a chance it's an in-joke because the actual lyric is "surely". They've done that before.

You're a pansy with no sense of humor. Get over yourself.
In this case, no I won't. I'm getting bored of wheelchair jokes, especially coming from you, where there's no friendship involved. Just because you want to feel like you've made a funny, it doesn't mean I have to accept your patronisation.
I don't give a fuck what you think. GET A LIFE.

Recent bonus point for Infallible. It was playing and I told my wife she might like this one because it has a catchy chorus...she responded - "Well..it might be catchy for Pearl Jam, but that doesn't sound very catchy to me."

Instant point in the grading system. What was a 3 has become a 4!

I assume the song with two basses is My Father's Son...but in the crappy iTunes stream I couldn't really tell that there were two basses there. Is it possible that they just double tracked the bass (one bass track on the left stereo channel, the other on the right) like they would guitars...or something else.

Also, in the first teaser video they released we saw Jeff with his 12-string bass, where is it on the album?

I can't get Infallible out of my head.

Listening to and thinking about Pendulum, I've decided that next weekend I want to hear a show begin Pendulum => Hard to Imagine => Corduroy.
