It's probably a sound bite sourced from the original trilogy.

He’s in it. Abrams was talking today about how cool it was to direct him as Palpatine.

Could be a recorded message/hologram or something similar.

The way Kennedy was talking about everything leading up to him being in this last one makes me feel otherwise.

If that's what they choose to introduce from Rebels, I'll be sad. They should bring Ezra back in this.

It seems that he's not listed as part of the cast.

You may have missed it on the first pass. But, the scene on the desert planet (Tatooine?) where Rey is jumping over the Tie fighter, if you look closely at the sand you will see that it is course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Luke said the Jedi Order was obsolete and needed to be ended. So Rey starts an entirely new order of Force users, balancing the Light and the Dark, which she names Skywalker as a tribute to Luke.
It fits into the history of the third movie in each trilogy being about a specific group of force users: The Sith, The Jedi, and The Skywalkers.

As long as they tour the galaxy as trapezists, I am in.

Someone earlier mentioned it Palpatine is back it opens the door for everyone right?
In Rinzlers making of return of the Jedi book, the original treatment for ROTJ Lucas had Obi wan and Yoda as force ghosts helping Luke duel the emperor and Vader in a big lava cave.
This obviously got cut and transferred to the throne room.
Could we see it happen here? Palps found a way to be a force ghost (if he died at all?) and Luke Obi wan _____ force ghost helping Rey in a final battle?
All force powers n lightning n stuff?

Could Palps be back cos of Plageuis’ teachings? He was working on how to create life and live forever and maybe bring people back from the dead
Also wondering about the world between worlds...could it be tied in?
