Saw Dr. No back in theatres this weekend for the 60th anniversary. Not the best Bond but started it all and pretty much all of the 60’s Bond’s are really good.

I always thought Dr No was in the top 5 or so Bonds. But I’ve never been that into them as a whole.

Never seen it before. Going to make some food and watch it. This will (on the current list) be the 20th last 2008 movie.

This is very similar to another movie I recently watched, but it’s still a pretty good movie, and a true story.

Where The Wild Things Are

Ten minutes in, never seen it before. Always thought this movie looked interesting, just never got around to seeing it.

Doing a year by year viewing, self made list. Now at nineteen 2008 movies left, and thirty-one 2009 movies. Doing both at the same time, although I will finish 2008 first.

This movie is weird. Not a fan.

I fuckin love Where The Wild Things Are, but I don't think I would have "got" the approach taken by the movie without being a grown-up who still loves the picture book I loved as a child

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Everyone seems to love it. I must watch this soon.
