Good movie. Tells a story

Yeah I agree that the movie tried to do a lot; and not always work. But it really manages to be careful about it’s characters and also be funny, sad or violent. One of the movies of the year for sure. Ashton Kutcher deserves an Oscar.
It never got at as dark or gritty as I was hoping. The part that really resonated with me was when Novak initially pitched the podcast concept, being a show about how in a world with so much sadness and disconnection, people find it easier to make up an enemy than to just accept that life sucks and is unfair. I wish the movie really unpacked this more, but as it became more of a whodunnit, it started to feel less interesting.
Overall good flick, fairly novel. But it didn’t blow my hair back.

Cmon Kutcher crushes it. He is glorious.
All the stuff before they got to Iceland was great. The second half was like "who is killing all my soldiers? It can't be the 6'4" guy that looks like he spends five hours a day cross-fit, so I guess I'll never figure it out!"
