Was in a small town record store this weekend and stumbled across Mudhoney's "Tomorrow Hit Today" for $15 (ridiculously cheap for what it typically goes for). Turned it over to check it out, and the back cover is autographed by the band. I'm not gonna beat that find for the rest of 2017.

no problem. i'll also post the warners list if it gets leaked before the official list, there will be a lot on there, too.

the pink floyd interstellar overdrive 12" is the most intriguing. will be curious to see what that turns out to be and if there's anything on the b-side.

the dave matthews red rocks will be a buy, it's arguably their best live release and one i've been waiting for.

the roky erickson tribute has r.e.m., butthole surfers, jesus & mary chain, primal scream, zz top, and others doing erickson songs. i had the cassette at one time but can't seem to find it, so this will be nice to have.

i pre-ordered the black angels record, so am kind of disappointed to see a different release on here. i'll probably still buy it, though, because i'm a sucker.

i'll get the pear jam single, and then the mark mulcahy and polica releases.

i think those are the '100% buys'. lots of other stuff on here i'd be interested in - moreso than any list in the last 2-3 years, for sure - but not sure whether i'd buy yet. the black lips cassette box, cinematic orchestra, dexter gordon, johnny cash, soul assassins, sundays, ugk, pineapple express, victoria williams... i could probably pick a few more out. but, yeah, there's enough i want already.

Thanks for the lists. Pickings get slimmer every year. i'm interested in the Springsteen live, Dave Matthews live, Stevie Ray Vaughan live, Jimmy Page & Black Crowes live 10" and Rough Guide to Delta Blues. I am not too big a fan of all these being limited runs, unless there are open production runs planned for the future.

The only problem I have with the vinyl resurgence is the limited run of some titles, making RSD about record flipping and making money rather getting vinyl to people who love vinyl. I'm all for limited runs of colored vinyl and/or deluxe packaging but when the title is a limited run I can't help but feel it's just about greed.

I finally picked up the Mad Season live at the Moore.

I had avoided it because i feel that many rock live albums dont really come across that great in this format.


This sounds wonderful. What an intense and disgustingly beautiful show.
