Higgs wrote:When I worked in the far remote country back in the mid 90s I used to have to do a run between towns 300kms apart. It was a day trip that involved 6 hours driving and 4 hours on the ground. I remember driving the government falcon and absolutely flying - I was doing 140km/h plus in a 110km/h zone. The road is rising slowly ahead of me and the unmistakable silhouette of a cop car appears at the top of the hill driving straight at me. I knew I was busted straight away and sure enough the cops hit their brakes, turned around and pulled me over on the side of the lonely, empty highway.

I actually recognized the cop who was driving as a girl I was a passing acquaintance with, but didn't socialise with at all. Her partner was a young kid who looked like it was his first day on the job. She recognised me and said "Hi Higgs. Do you know what speed you were doing there?". I smiled and nodded and said "I think I was doing about 140 or so" accepting that I was screwed. She laughed and said "142 to be exact. Now, hold out your hand" which I thought was strange, but I did as she instructed. She slapped me on my hand and said "Don't do it again" and turned to go hop back in the car. I can still remember the look of absolute shock and confusion on the young cops face as he thought he was getting the bust of the day.

They drove off their way and I drove off mine, smiling at the happy turn of fate I'd received.
nice writing. :)

You are dating someone and learn they have been wearing a wig or toupee alternative hair. Deal breaker?

Dating aside - thoughts on someone having a collection of wigs, just like baseball caps, wear a different one each day. Maybe they have a medical reason (chemo, etc.), maybe they just like doing it as a style choice. Should society normalize this?

nothing is natural, really... but really, everything is natural, ultimately; even artificiality is a product of evolution

if you have the wherewithal to exercise a lot, you're in good shape and thus are more attractive and fit for childs

similarly, if you have the howsaboutcha to have plastic surgery performed on your face, you likewise are still more attractive than before

the attraction comes from howsaboutchas and wherewithals; one has it in them to care how they appear to others, and an eye for good aesthetic. That's what matters.

Don't lie, wease. As hot as you are, you wouldn't have touched your wife with a ten foot pole if she were bald.

How do you know she’s NOT bald?

And you’re way wrong about that.

Because you're so hot... it's in my comment.. also I'm sure you would've mentioned it during the aftermath of The Rock slap
