Watched Collateral for the first time last night and very much enjoyed it. A perfect role for Tom Cruise to play. Weird soundtrack.

I watched The Assassination of Jesse James... the other day. I don't know how I feel about it. The performances were really good. It's a bit of a mess otherwise.

Finishing this now. I always liked Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, and this has a little of that same unique feeling. Surprised I’ve never seen it.Anders wrote:RocknRolla

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Still loved Gran Torino. One of the best movies in the 2000-09 decade.

I thought it was good overall, but some of the acting is subpar.

I can see why you would say that, but I thought the two youth Clint bonded with, did a great job. Their family members, did just fine in background roles.tree_ wrote:I thought it was good overall, but some of the acting is subpar.
Clint was at his very best.
Some of the gang members, and the police, did feel a bit like actors playing a part.
