Re: What movies are you watching?
I watched Get Out again after being disappointed by Nope. I still like it but there's a lot of awkward plotting near the end and some really silly choices.
I think every Jordan Peele movie has a great premise and like 70% of good execution, but there's always something holding it back. Like Us not really making sense when you think about it for more than a minute. But Us and Get Out are so fun to watch and so stylishly made that it doesn't really matter.
Nope is the only time he's made something I find boring.

The impressive thing about Get Out is how many white people it turns into the dad from Get Out.

I thought Get Out was OK, not great, and found Us kinda bad. I really wanted to like both but still don't get the hype.

It’s fine. I’ll forget the details within a year or less. It sets up nicely for a sequel though.Mickey wrote:A slick and utterly forgettable movie (I forgot I watched it)lennytheweedwhacker wrote:The Post.

I watched The Lost City last night. It was fine. Cast is great. A few really strong, good laughs. Entertaining enough.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Bad Times at the El Royale was mediocre. I liked the cast and it was entertaining enough, but the structure of the reveals seemed off and the ending didn't feel earned. The religious aspect felt a bit clunky too.

Re: What movies are you watching?
I remember seeing the trailer a few years ago and thinking it looked fun. Had I seen it then I probably would have been way more underwhelmed. It was good enough to not want to turn off at least.BurtReynolds wrote:I didn't like that one.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Bad Times at the El Royale was mediocre.
