Good one. Hope you enjoyed it. First time seeing it?
Second. I really wanted to see it again after finding out it’s not about racism.

I watched Get Out again after being disappointed by Nope. I still like it but there's a lot of awkward plotting near the end and some really silly choices.

I think every Jordan Peele movie has a great premise and like 70% of good execution, but there's always something holding it back. Like Us not really making sense when you think about it for more than a minute. But Us and Get Out are so fun to watch and so stylishly made that it doesn't really matter.

Nope is the only time he's made something I find boring.

I think I may know, but What was the awkward plotting in Get Out for you?

Still haven’t seen Us.

The impressive thing about Get Out is how many white people it turns into the dad from Get Out.

I thought Get Out was OK, not great, and found Us kinda bad. I really wanted to like both but still don't get the hype.

It’s fine. I’ll forget the details within a year or less. It sets up nicely for a sequel though.

I watched The Lost City last night. It was fine. Cast is great. A few really strong, good laughs. Entertaining enough.

Bad Times at the El Royale was mediocre. I liked the cast and it was entertaining enough, but the structure of the reveals seemed off and the ending didn't feel earned. The religious aspect felt a bit clunky too.

2.3/5

I remember seeing the trailer a few years ago and thinking it looked fun. Had I seen it then I probably would have been way more underwhelmed. It was good enough to not want to turn off at least.
