I didn't say it wasn't done much, much better.bada wrote:I sorta disagree. It didn't feel like signaling to me. Yeah, I guess that episode was alright to close out the season.

Yeah they were well into the sequence before I even realized it was four woman fighting together. Bad Robot Trek would have hammered it into the audience and they would done a press tour congratulating themselves for their progressivism cause it doesn’t count unless you get credit.

Without an exhaustive knowledge of this phenomenon. I can only point at End Game.epilogue wrote:There almost never is.B wrote:Yeah, there was no "wink, wink, we're women" moment.bada wrote:I sorta disagree. It didn't feel like signaling to me. That moment in Endgame was powerful/important for some, but also pandering. I agree that Mando's felt more organic.

I'm a big fan of A Force, and I liked it, but I also recognized it for the ham-handed pandering that it is.Monkey_Driven wrote:That moment in Endgame was powerful/important for some, but also pandering. I agree that Mando's felt more organic.
You're just forgetting.epilogue wrote:I saw Endgame but I honestly have no idea what y'all are talking about.
All, ALL, of the female characters lining up behind the most over-powered MCU hero to "help" her move the gauntlet across the field of battle?

Seems like your issue not the movie's. I suppose one could argue that the more often you see it, the less pandering it seems. In which case, Marvel did the right thing.Monkey_Driven wrote:That moment in Endgame was powerful/important for some, but also pandering. I agree that Mando's felt more organic.

bo katan should not be allowed to drive a car unless her husband permits it in writing
