I dont think i have listened to stern regularly since before he left "radio"

he was truly a shock jock in the 80s and 90s and did things just to get a rise out of people. he asked lewd questions of the strippers/hot women who were guests but i think it was done more out of a curious side since growing up he was a nerd and wasnt really a player.

to me his on air is totally different than his at home persona. i dont think he has any rapey skeletons in his closet and all the misdeeds were done in front of his audience. maybe he has just grown over time and maybe a bit guilty feeling at some of the things he did in the past

I think Howard Stern the broadcaster is more a character he plays than his true, personal self. The whole shock-jock persona was way too over the top to be who he really was.
