A lot of people also mention that the visiting team draws will be larger than usual, because the city itself is a big tourist spot.Peeps wrote:how in the hell is vegas going to sustain a team?

I became briefly concerned that a stamkos to toronto thing was heavily rumored so i googled it and feel better.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I assumed it was because Toronto got a good player with their first pick in the draft?@SkitchP wrote:why is phil smiling
I'm not a Lightning fan, but I hope he stays there. They have a pretty good thing going down there, who knows what would have happened had he been healthy in that last series. I like Stamkos.@SkitchP wrote:I became briefly concerned that a stamkos to toronto thing was heavily rumored so i googled it and feel better.E.H. Yeah, Detroit made some cap room, looks like Buffalo is going to try real hard for him too. I just hope Boston doesn't sign him.@SkitchP wrote:E.H. So do I and would like to see him on the Detroit Red Wings, and with the absolute heist that Kenny Holland pulled off on Draft night, our chances got a hell of a lot better.
It was kind of a heist for the Coyotes too, since taking Datsyuk's contract means absolutely nothing to them.@SkitchP wrote:E.H. Ruddock wrote:I'm not a Lightning fan, but I hope he stays there. For sure. The rumours of having to give up a bunch to get rid of him were always kind of stupid, though, because it's a much different situation than Bickell. The Hurricanes had to take on Bickell's $4 million cap hit and pay him $4.5 million. The Coyotes take Datsyuk's $7.5 million cap him and pay him nothing. There's no financial commitment, so for a team that's going to be way below the cap, it can't hurt.@SkitchP wrote:Oh, I agree. But for Holland to get a 2nd rounder to drop back 4 spots I would have been content- to unload the contract too was just a nice bonus considering what Chicago had to do to ditch Bickell
