I caught up with some Oscar bait while I was on RM hiatus.
Dallas Buyers Club. Good but not great. I don't know if McConaughey was necessarily the best actor last year; no doubt his physical transformation helped. Leto did a good job too.
Blue Jasmine. Yeah, Cate Blanchett was fantastic and the role gave her a lot more variety to play than I was expecting going in.
12 Years a Slave. Long movie that's tough viewing in stretches. I'm absolutely glad I saw it but doubt I will re-watch, at least anytime soon. This one stays with you. I would have been shocked if something else beat it out for Best Picture.
American Hustle. I liked this one the most. It took a while for the plot to come to a boil; most of my enjoyment came in the second half. Jennifer Lawrence & Christian Bale stood out in a great cast. Excellent soundtrack too.

I don't think that even describes it. It's more like what a three year old would do if you asked him to play as a robot. Lots of beeps and stiff limbs. It's that dumb. Add to that a creepy pedo smile and you get this character.

Watched an 80s horror movie called The Gate, starring an eight year old Stephen Dorff, who even then looked like he is slightly allergic to air. Brilliant.
