I shall refer you to my original post about the movie. I found it evil

I went to see Bullet Train the other day (more because I like to go to the movies and have seen most everything else available in my small city than due to any real interest in it) and walked out within the first half hour. There's a difference between
a) bad movies or movies for dumb people, which I can forgive;
b) dumb movies, which I can enjoy; and
c) evil movies that are actively trying to make me dumber.

Bullet Train is c).

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Blonde is cruel and miserable all-purpose misanthropy, maybe sexist, but the idea that the filmmakers hate women is pretty silly. It's white knightery if nothing else. Fifteen 2009 movies left after this one. Five movies both my wife and I have seen before (all English language), but not together or in the time we have known each other. Five foreign language movies (Spanish language x3, French and Korean), of which I have previously seen two, and she none. And five movies (all English language), of which my wife and I have seen one each.

Haven't seen a Leslie Neilson movie in 25 years. Perhaps I just wasn't mature enough to fully appreciate such high comedy back then. Perhaps I'm starved for an actually funny movie in this dystopian modern nightmare we currently inhabit.

Leslie Nielsen is a treasure. I looooooved the naked gun series and movies. He was out of this world good.
