what many consider one of the finest restaurants in the world, alinea, isn't far from our place, and my wife has been talking about going for years. we've both worked really hard and had some successes this year, so i pulled the trigger on tickets for her xmas present. soonest i could book is february, but the anticipation will be part of the fun.
