So I got this on vinyl. Revelatory. Where the digital version is squashed flat, this one has so much more going on dynamically. Songs from from a subdued thud to a full-throated scream. Suddenly it’s much more of a rock record than I previously thought.

If you’re a fan and you have a decent setup, it’s not to be missed.

Listened to the album the other day and still enjoy it quite a bit.

Not sure if you were aware of this trag (I also wasn't backreading the entire thread) Hesitation Marks was mastered in two different ways

Learned about this last week. Apparently lots of people aren't too impressed with the "audiophile" digital mastering -- they say it's still fairly squished.

I think it sounds great but what the fuck do I know.
