From the webernet:
Starfleet officer James Tiberius Kirk [SC 937-0176 CEC] was Captain of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 during its historic five-year mission of exploration in 2264-2269. By 2270 Kirk earned an impressive list of commendations from Starfleet, including the Palm Leaf of the Axanar Peace Mission, the Grankite Order of Tactics (Class of Excellence), and the Preantares Ribbon of Commendation (Classes First and Second), and the [unintelligible] Award for Space Exploration. Kirk's awards for valor included the Medal of Honor, the Silver Palm with Cluster, the Starfleet Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry, and the Kragite Order of Heroism. Captain Kirk was critically injured while assisting Captain Jean-Luc Picard during a mission on Veridian III. His body was retrieved for Project Phoenix.
“Critically injured?” So he WASN’T dead when Picard piled all those rocks on him to bury him?

And WTF is Project Phoenix?

There was a book I read back in the 90's. Star Trek The Return or something. Where they brought Kirk back using Borg Tech.....maybe a reference to that for the kooky fans that read Star Trek novels lol. I barely remember it.

This season has me very much considering a TNG-DS9 rewatch then finishing Voyager and actually watching Enterprise. With the NextGen movies, of course.

Weakest episode so far. No bad just kinda filler. Worth watching though.

I think maybe they should have did another rewrite and made episodes 7 and 8 into one episode.

Only 2 episodes left and still don’t know what Jack’s deal is.

That scene with them all around the table? Magical.

I want 2 spin-offs from this. A Titan show with Shaw and Seven and a new TNG show. This is money in the bank Paramount!!

Sorry you are getting Star Trek: Riverdale....I mean Academy and Star Trek: Section 31 a show no one wants. Brought to you by the antichrist Alex Kurtzman. Enjoy.

Some good lines in this one. Riker looking at Rafi: You're scary!

And Worf saying he often contemplated sending the heads of his vanquished enemies to the rest of team as a symbol of his longing. I lol'd.

Data re-taking the ship was funny too.

I was waiting for the line from Seven. I would have bet she was gonna give us "Resistance is Futile" before blowing Vadic out of the escape hatch. "Get off my bridge" was a good one though.

The heads line was good. They have done a great job of making Worf funny without making him the joke.

Worf is still the best.

Well I still hate Jack and the show can be really awkward trying to dig out from under all of the weight of Nu Trek but the moment the lights came back on things felt right for the first time in a long time. Show is far from perfect but that moment makes it worth it. Not sure how they are gonna wrap everything up next week.

Deanna: "Once we open that door, remember, I'll be here with you."
*opens door*
Deanna: *leaves*

Man. I had a dumbfuck goofy grin on my face the entire final sequence. I actually got goosebumps when the lights came on the bridge.

That episode cracked open my cold, cynical heart and filled it with nostalgic joy. Bravo.

It also got a little dusty in my living room.
