this could either be a Lost Dog or a Backspace, we'll see
i'm fine with it. The evening rollout of DOTC was some of the most fun I've ever had on RM.scrub12 wrote:That article confirmed they’re gonna make us wait a week to hear this thing. Ridiculous.

This was exactly my first reaction. There’s a charm in the clip that feels like they are having fun with the song, in a way that many of their b-sides do.. Hitchhiker, U, All Night, Black Red Yellow. Something about this feels really fun, and I’m digging it. Really liking Ed’s vocals here.Mike wrote:Sounds like something that would fit on the first disc of Lost Dogs...in a good way. Not what I expected at all.
keep going im almost thereKidC- wrote:I believe this is the breakdown... could be the opening too. I’m forgetting. But what I’m not forgetting is how the song keeps rolling and building and gets more and more powerful. eddie continues this type of register but that too gets amplified. punchy vocals. Feels like the world could be ending but this song would keep on going. This song and who ever said gave me the feels I felt when I saw grievance premiered on letterman. That type of PJ song. DOESNT sound like grievance but they are top shelf PJ.
I do not disagree with the comps here, and I quite like that about it. But it's not totally clicking yet. Hopefully, I'll feel differently once I've heard the whole thing. It certainly doesn't seem like a bad song. The snippet is interesting, at the very least. And that's exciting.bodysnatcher wrote:This was exactly my first reaction. I agree.Ms Harmless wrote:there's some really nice rising feedback underneath the guitars in the second "half", suggesting it's a breakdown about to melt our faces
it might be a weird comparison but the groove and the drum mix reminds me of both "Hitchhiker" and "Down" -- that is, kind of retro
Everyone on this board needs and should send KidC a Valentine’s card. You’re aces dude.KidC- wrote:I believe this is the breakdown... could be the opening too. I’m forgetting.
