And his return in Mandalorian sure seemed to lean towards certain notions in that direction. And that is the bane of the series. Almost nothing they present could live up to our expectations.
I think expectations are irrelevant when it comes to whether or not something is good. They absolutely introduce emotion and heighten reactions when met or subverted but execution is much more important. Produce a quality product. The one caveat is consistency: it matters when handling characterization and a serial narrative. Fett's depiction in Mando was of a capable warrior still at the top of his game. We have yet to see much of that in Book.
I agree with every word you said.

That was the best episode so far. Now you’re getting the boba you were whining about not getting.
The mando music cue at the end. Perfectly timed

It was ok. Still don’t like any version of those 90’s hacker kids. So based on the music at the end we’re definitely going to see Mando in this, yeah?

The mando or Mandalorians.
I think this is after that episode with Luke etc and this series does tie into mando season three. They said to think of boba as mando season 2.5. But that was deffo his theme we heard there. Only question is will they all come with him.

Since everyone in the show seems to emphasize it as BOba Fett, I’ve apparently been saying it wrong for 42 years.

Mando and Greef would be my prediction. I doubt Bo would help and Cara has been fired.
Will Mando still have the dark Sabre on arrival.
Dallas Bryce Howard to direct the next one so Bo is a possibility.

Slave 1 picking off all those speeder bikes was awesome. Also, as dumb as his approach to the Sarlaac was, I loved the image of the ship tilted and barely hovering over it. Slave 1 is every bit as iconic as Fett’s armor, and seeing it makes me happy.

That surgery scene was horrendous. Set every script page, cel of film, musical cue, and memory of those modders on fire. Feed them to the zombie sarlacc so they can die a slow, painful death. I don’t want to see them ever again.
After that, we had a solid episode. Some of the effects work and shot compositions remain spotty. I’m still scratching my head about that as I don’t recall any such issues with Mando (but it’s been a while since I’ve seen it)
I think it’d be cool to get some surviving clone troopers to fill out Boba’s army. That plus Mando would be a good way to tie the three series (including Ashoka) together.
