Re: Air Fryer
Reheating takeout pizza is my favorite. Gets the crust nice and crispy.
Agree with ruddo on fries; it cooks them quiet unevenly. But reheating something like Five Guys fries is great.

Re: Air Fryer
Ours has a bunch of food presets, bacon being one. I can line the basket with about 6 pieces of bacon, it cooks at I think 390 degrees for about 8 minutes (after pre-heating the fryer). It turns out good, a little crispy, and not greasy at all.tree_ wrote:how does it work? I'd like to use it for bacon. please explain the bacon process

If yours doesn't have a preset, definitely google recommended cooking temp/time on it. I'm going off memory and I could be wrong.tree_ wrote:amazing. i'm getting it out and trying this.. fucking hate frying bacon but do it almost every weekend

Isn't this just essentially a good, convection toaster oven?

Re: Air Fryer
By the way, I have THIS. An "air fryer convection oven," which I understand is different than a normal air fryer, and probably a big reason that frozen french fries burn.

What exactly is an air fryer? How is it any different from an oven?

Re: Cookbooks, Kitchen Gadgets, Etc.
I googled air fryer and the second article had this quote so I'm just going to assume y'all are lazy as hell:
That’s because cooking on a sheet pan in your oven can give you similar results. But it turns out, the air fryer is fast, easy and convenient. So when cooking in the oven feels like too much work, you might want to fire up the air fryer instead.

Re: Cookbooks, Kitchen Gadgets, Etc.
It doesn't seem easier than my oven, just faster.
