I understand this POV, for sure, but if they were moving that slowly, we'd be looking at 6-7 seasons of this show, at a minimum. Not a bad thing per se, but I've heard the goal of 5 seasons thrown around (not anything official, just rumblings in the industry) which HBO probably wants so they can move onto the next project more quickly.Ensign9 wrote: Beating a dead horse here but imagine had those moments come after 1.5 to 2 full seasons of development. So many truly great moments in this show they’re undercutting with all the time jumps.

I don't really want 1-2 seasons with kid actors. The time jumps make sense to me given the budget and everything else.

I don’t care about what goes on at court during peacetime for 15 years tbh. I guess I would appreciate developing the Harwin Strong relationship, Daemon and Laena’s marriage.Simple Torture wrote:I understand this POV, for sure, but if they were moving that slowly, we'd be looking at 6-7 seasons of this show, at a minimum. Have yet to see a credible source say this, but apparently the crown falling wasn’t intentional, but Matt Smith and Paddy went with itSimple Torture wrote:For me it was when Daemon came to help him up the steps.Mecca wrote:I was extremely moved by the last ride of Viserys I sitting the throne

I read the same thing. Seems a little too good to be true.Mecca wrote:Have yet to see a credible source say this, but apparently the crown falling wasn’t intentional, but Matt Smith and Paddy went with itSimple Torture wrote:For me it was when Daemon came to help him up the steps.Mecca wrote:I was extremely moved by the last ride of Viserys I sitting the throne

If the next episode starts with him getting out of bed, I will laugh. Also think he died this time.Mecca wrote:btw I’m pretty sure Viserys died this time

Not just one spontaneous take, but the crown was originally not supposed to fall off, and… the link explains the details well.

I saw a reddit thread theorizing about whether or not Daeron was going to be in the show, but I don't think this quote was in there. This sounds like they're planning to have him enter the story later on.Ensign9 wrote:GRRM wrote:

Happy to hear it’s ongoing.

Is there a prophecy for Viserys?
Additionally, one just died.
